Mr. Richard is a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Lake Charles. He invites you to worship there each Sunday. He is a member of the Krewe Des Amis and was elected as Duke to the Royal Court for 2006. He has been a sponsor of the annual NRA banquet in south Louisiana and is an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Richard is the proud founder of Ranch Richard located on beautiful Lacassine Bayou in Jefferson Davis Parish. Ranch Richard is in the developmental stage of becoming a world class hunting ranch.
Mr. Richard is a supporter of numerous charitable causes but primarily focuses on church and educational needs. He proudly supports his own church as well as the various schools in his home area. Richard Law Firm, L.L.C. provides scholarships at Westlake, Sam Houston and South Beauregard High Schools. Due to Mr. Richard’s Cajun ancestry, he supports the French education programs at various schools as well as providing scholarships for students to travel to Canada and Europe. He encourages all parents and students to involve themselves in the preservation of our Cajun heritage. Finally, Mr. Richard encourages all parents to allow their children to experience the wholesome environment of the Tioga Campgrounds of the Pentecostal Church. He has established a financial assistance program to ensure that all children have the opportunity to attend.
Mr. Richard is married to Jimmie Jean Richard and together they have four wonderful children: Dallen, Lola, Sophia, and Cole.
Mr. Richard is a member of the Louisiana Association of Justice and the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) as well as a proud sponsor of the Bayou Club Cock Fighting Arena.
Mr. Richard is a member of the Coushatta Bar Association and therefore licensed to practice before the tribal court. He is a member of the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals Bar Association, American Bar Association and Louisiana State Bar Association. In addition, he is also licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas and the United States District Court for the western district of Louisiana.
